The Viable Alternative

Some years ago, I was on the phone with a good friend of mine who was dating this girl he was very much in love with. Through this, and a succession of other conversations before this one we had about this girl and the problems they had in their relationship, it became glaringly apparent that this girl had a ton of baggage.
