Through this, and a succession of other conversations before this one we had about this girl and the problems they had in their relationship, it became glaringly apparent that this girl had a ton of baggage. It’s funny when two people start dating, everyone is trying to be on their best behaviour because they don’t want to scare their new romantic interest away with their quirks, idiosyncrasies, neurotic behaviour, bad habits, past baggage or anything else they think may sour a “promising” beginning.
